Valiant Gargoyle is a Boss in Elden Ring. These large stone gargoyles wield various weapons and move with considerable dexterity for their size. This is an optional boss, as players don't need to defeat it in order to advance in Elden Ring.
Black Blade Kindred is another variant of this boss.
The missing parts have been mended with corpse wax; a patchwork of champions.

- This is an optional boss
- Closest Site of Grace: Siofra River
- Multiplayer is allowed for this boss
- You can summon Spirit Ashes for this boss
Valiant Gargoyle Combat information
- Stance: 110
- Parryable: No
- Is vulnerable to a critical hit after being stance broken
- Damage: Standard (Halberd), Standard, Slash, Holy (Greatsword), Standard, Pierce (Twinblade)
- Weak spot: head
Negations (or Absorptions)
The negation numbers are the % of your damage that gets blocked. For example, if a negation is 60, 40% of that damage by that type will go through and 60% will be negated. Bigger number = less damage. A negation of 100 means no damage goes through, and a negation of -100 mean the enemy takes 2x damage from that source. 0 means damage goes pretty much as is.
Resistances
- Poison: Immune
- Scarlet Rot: Immune
- Hemorrhage: Immune
- Frostbite: Immune
The resistance numbers are the buildup amount to trigger it. For example, if a resistance is 100 you must deal 100 points of the given buildup to trigger it. Note that these go down over time, and increase each time the effect procs.

Valiant Gargoyle Fight Strategy
The Best Tips for Valiant Gargoyle:
- Use the Spirit Jellyfish, Ancestral Follower, or any other ashes able to draw aggression away from you.
- Use Pest Threads, as their large size means they can be hit multiple times for larger damage. Lightning Spear or Great Glintstone Shard are other ranged alternatives.
- Use Incantation Flame, Cleanse Me to cure yourself of poison buildup.
Melee Users
We can look at the encounter as having 3 phases: Phase 1 being a 1v1 fight against the first Gargoyle only, Phase 2 being a 1v2 against both Gargoyles, and Phase 3 being a 1v1 against the remaining Gargoyle. The goal in this encounter should be to take as little damage as possible in Phase 1, quickly burn down the low health Gargoyle in Phase 2, and then have enough Flask charges to get through Phase 3.
Prior to fighting this boss, the player may want to consider having a decently upgraded Flask, a way to cure Poison and decent damage output. If you attempt this fight with low damage, you may have problems with Phase 2, when both Gargoyles are ganging up on you. Also consider having a weapon with high range in order to hit the Gargoyles properly, this can be especially effective combined with playing with the camera unlocked. You may find that ranged summons such as the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes are good for this fight, as the Gargoyles tend to move around quite a bit and their attacks have large AoEs, making melee summons ineffective (needs more testing).
Phase 1 (Sword Gargoyle)
In this phase, the goal is to simply take as little damage as possible. There is no timer, as the Twinblade Gargoyle comes into the fight when the Sword Gargoyle is around half health. Take your time to learn its attacks, most of them are relatively easy to dodge on reaction. You can be relatively aggressive in this phase if you learn the patterns, letting you get a potential stagger and consequently a critical hit coming into Phase 2. The Gargoyle will swap between its sword and halberd periodically, both of them have relatively easy to read attacks, but if you find that one of the forms is harder for you, you can always simply wait it out by dodging backwards and running away from the Gargoyle to wait for the easier phase.
It is possible to stay quite close to the Gargoyle most of the time, just watch out for the Poison Mist attack it will use at close range. If you see it coming out, you have plenty of time to simply sprint away from the Gargoyle, and you will not take any damage. You can try to get free hits on the Gargoyle while it is spawning the mist, but be careful that you do not get poisoned. The safe bet is to simply run away and wait for a different opening.
Before the Sword Gargoyle hits half health, make sure to position it around the entrance to the boss arena. This will ensure that the Twinblade Gargoyle will spawn on the other side of the arena, giving you precious time to finish off the Sword Gargoyle before the Twinblade Gargoyle is able to make its way to you.
Phase 2 (Both Gargoyles)
Depending on your weapon and level of aggression, it is possible to get a stagger on the Sword Gargoyle right as Phase 2 is coming up. This is optimal, since it will give you a large burst of damage on the Sword Gargoyle. If your weapon has a good weapon art (such as The Queen's Black Flame), you may even want to use the weapon art instead of taking the critical hit.
Regardless of whether or not you get a stagger, make sure you use your highest damage output right after the Twinblade Gargoyle spawns. The optimal scenario is to fully kill the Sword Gargoyle before the Twinblade Gargoyle makes it to your position. Do not be afraid to trade hits with the Sword Gargoyle to make this happen, just watch out to not get flanked by the Twinblade Gargoyle. This is the hardest part of the fight, so doing everything in your power to end it quickly will greatly reduce the difficulty of this encounter. Consider using any player or weapon buffs right before Phase 2 begins, simply to get the largest burst of damage (one such buff can be the damage-increasing Crystal Tears for the Flask of Wondrous Physick).
If you don't manage to kill off the Sword Gargoyle before the Twinblade Gargoyle gets to you, don't worry, you will simply have to play a bit differently from now on. If the Sword Gargoyle is not dead, it should at least be low on health. At this point, simply kite both of them and wait for openings to get hits in on the Sword Gargoyle. Try to keep both of them on your screen, and don't be afraid to take your time. It's worth noting that only one gargoyle usually attacks at a time, and it is usually the one closest to you. Run around and try to keep the Sword Gargoyle in front of you so that it will attack and you will be able to finish it off. You only need a few more hits to take down the Sword Gargoyle, so wait for your safe openings. It is highly advisable that you play with the camera unlocked in Phase 2, if you weren't already.
Phase 3 (Twinblade Gargoyle)
In the last part of this fight, you will only face the Twinblade Gargoyle, who will periodically swap between a Twinblade and a Greataxe. Its Twinblade moveset can be rather hard to read, so don't be afraid to simply wait it out until it swaps to the Greataxe. You can survive the Twinblade phase just by rolling away from it during most of its attacks. Most of the Greataxe moveset is much easier to read, and is more similar to the Sword Gargoyle's Halberd moveset. The Twinblade Gargoyle still has some very nasty attacks that can even kill you from full health if you time your rolls incorrectly. However, the fight is no longer a race against time in this phase, so take all the time you need to safely get damage on the Twinblade Gargoyle. You can slowly take it down, using flasks that you hopefully have left from the first two phases to sustain you.
Magic and Ranged Users
With this boss, its a good idea to choose either to keep close or at a distance. For ranged users, keep an eye out for when it switches weapons which will give you an opportunity to deal a number of attacks. The actions you want to look out for is the ranged wind charge which is when it lunges forward a great distance and can put you directly within range for more attacks so be prepared to run forward or away from the landing site. Another attack to look out for is its roar which surrounds it in a white glow. Back away from this attack to avoid damage.
Ranged attacks are especially beneficial when both gargoyles are present to try to handle them both from a distance and avoid receiving damage. Try to keep them both in view to avoid any unexpected attacks from one or the other. You don't want to be unaware while a gargoyle is spewing extra poison into the arena or be unprepared for when they perform a lunge and close the distance very quickly. Focus ono clearing the first gargoyle so you can use phase 3 to focus on the twinblade gargoyle.

Elden Ring Valiant Gargoyles Boss (Siofra River)
- This is an optional boss, although either it or Mohg, the Omen must be defeated to enter Deeproot Depths and achieve a certain ending
- This fight features two Valiant Gargoyles. Initially you face only one with a Gargoyle' Greatsword, but once it reaches half health another will appear with a Gargoyle's Twinblade
- Both Valiant Gargoyles must be defeated to win the fight
- Closest Site of Grace: Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs
- Multiplayer is allowed for this boss
- You can summon Spirit Ashes for this boss
- NPC Summons: D, Beholder of Death can be summoned for this fight if the player has given D's Twin Brother the Twinned Set. His summon sign is on the right at the top of the stairs in front of the fog gate.

From the Aqueduct-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace off the Hallowhorn Grounds, head east through a tunnel and along the ridge, then jump down onto the buttress just below the edge. Walk along the buttress until you hit a wall, then jump down again onto the platform below. Continue northeast up two sets of stairs, then go through the first door on your right and continue north along the waterlogged passageway. Head northeast out to the balcony and up the stairs to the northwest. This will lead you into a large room with a waterfall, which the first Valiant Gargoyle will jump down, beginning the fight. Additional Fight Strategy
- You can use the cliff on the right side of the arena to easily kill the first Valiant Gargoyle: Line up the Gargoyle between you and the cliff, then wait for the attack where he jumps back. The Gargoyle may fall of the cliff, killing it instantly. This leaves just the second one for a relatively easy one-on-one fight. This strategy is very inconsistent though, needing good luck to get the Gargoyle lined up and have it do the correct attack.
- Known bug: In coop mode, the first Valiant Gargoyle can get stuck on the cliff it descends from. It can be damaged with ranged weapons, but the Twinblade gargoyle won't show up. The best solution is to reset the arena, but there's a chance that it'll eventually jump off the cliff somewhere on the right side:

Already poorly made as a duo fight, but then throw in the 15FPS poison mist spam and it's easily the worst fight from software has made

It's always the poison attack for the duo fight when one is about to die the other uses the poison then kills me

These bastards will 'Valiantly' gang up on you while spamming AOE poison mist. I'm not even mad at the fight itself, just the name.

I would have recorded my fight if I knew this many people were complaining about the boss. Between me, dung eater puppet, and D, we crushed these guys in under 4 minutes. First one was dead well before the second showed up. Granted, I had other means to reach deeproot by then, but I'd really been trying to hit every single optional everything with this character. My amateurish dex build this run was a cakewalk compared to my str build last time I played when the game came out. The poison did nothing but getting hit for about 1/3rd of my health from their attacks I didn't dodge kept me on my toes. I know "git gud" is a meme at this point but if you're struggling with these guys to the point of rage maybe go exploring or pick up a different game. slime rancher 2 just came out.
- Anonymous
They trolled by giving them resistsnces/immunity to pretty much everything. Strike, really?
- Anonymous
Just beat them on new character, dont think the drop info is correct still , recieved less then 30k had D bro as summon.

These guys are my favorite field boss. No seriously! They are really cool and fun to fight with all the different options each Gargoyle has. At first I hated them but after finally facing one, it's far easier than I thought! Really cool design, awesome attack animations. Cool Boss, don't hate me just because my opinion is different. You can hate These and that's fair. Be a good sport everyone.

I love Elden Ring, my favorite From Game, and I always encourage to have a good fight, but know what?
F**k those weirdos. Im gonna teach something better for repeated playtroughs. You can reach to Godwin without never engaging these fight, you just need to go to the sewers, defeat Mogh ilussion, and open platform to the room for the Age of Chaos ending, that one before the three fingers. On that room an illusory wall is found that leads you to the Nameless City, straight up. You still need to fight Mogh the Omen? Honestly, I prefer a repeated encounter of one of the coolest ER Boss fights over that atrocity.
The team who created and designed these guys should be ashamed and fired.
- Anonymous
they nerfed the 3 crystalians but not these 2 ... what's the logic in that?
- Anonymous
After learning the pattern trying to solo them, I Was able to easy mode them with +3 Latenna and a +13 heavy great star with craigblade, issue always was chasing them down, Latenna punishing them for evading me made all all the difference, wasn’t even that much damage, just needed something to lure them back.

Didn't realize how annoying these guys could be till I stopped using my star fists. Other builds been struggling since my first couple runs where I used almost exclusively strike weapons.
- Anonymous
It's bad enough as it is, but giving these f**ks immunity to everything, even frost, is just overkill. Contender for worst boss in the souls history, the other being twin kitties in ds2, and that is a achievement all on its own.

The duo fight is the only fight where I actually used a spirit ash. I've played DeS, DS 1-3, BB and sekiro and I've always found that personally, summoning robbed me of the experience of learning and mastering a fight so I decided to never do it. But this fight... I don't even feel bad anymore.
I know winning without summons would not have felt good anyway, I know it would have felt like the RNG gods were on my side and that I would probably not even be able to win a second time in a row. You know it's a trash boss when no amount of learning gets you anywhere and you just pray that it won't spam poison or jump away and basically let you kill it before the second one arrives.
- Anonymous
I dont understand why people hate the duo boss its basically demon in pain fight from ringed city just play agressive and focus the first one it'll be already dead by the time the second one starts using melee attacks i did this and killed them on first try
- Anonymous
You know, the poison wouldn't even be so bad if I could SEE it. it's such a thin, faint little mist that it took me 5+ attempts to realize it's spewing forward in a line and not just a big AOE circle
- Anonymous
Got through the gargoyles easy on my sorcerer using night comet. With my faith/arcane build, I re-spec'd into sorcerer after an hour of getting my cheeks slapped.
- Anonymous
Just beat this on my RL1+0 solo character. Shard Spiral absolutely wrecks these guys, and if you take advantage of every opening, you can stagger the first one and kill him before the second one gets to you, making this fight WAY easier.

This boss wouldn’t be nearly as annoying if the poison mist didn’t also do tick damage. Would still just be a better boss without the poison at all though

Miazaty just wanted to put another poison lake into the game...
in form of a duo boss, I`d rather fight sewer mohg any day tbh. Good boss by its own but the second one makes the poison attacks too opressive

Laugh it up, Miyazaki. Not buying Armored Core 6, or the next game, or the next. Contempt for your customers' time is expensive.
- Anonymous
fighting one of them is a breeze, but both, with poison, **** that
- Anonymous
Honestly a Chad boss. Sick animation when they switch weapons. Tough for a variety of builds since you can’t cheese with status. Yeah the double fight in siofra sucks but the rest are fun. One of the few fights in this game that really gets your heart racing.

Insane how they managed to do this exact same fight with the Demon Duo in dark souls 3 and make it one of the best fights in the game, but then **** it up so badly here.
An infinite range Poison AoE that is also a DoT? Cool cool. Cooooool
- Anonymous
The only duo fight where the ranged boss is more annoying than the melee boss
- Anonymous
somehow the first gargoyle glitched out and its sword disappeared for me, making him deal no damage while he was using it
still took me 9 flasks + mimic tear on lvl 65 to kill these guys. i had to spam arrows at the 1st gargoyle to kill him when the 2nd spawned in
- Anonymous
God if the second gargoyle had appeared after the first one reached less than a quarter of its health this fight would be less infamous.
Gargoyles by themselves aren’t terrible. But I will never understand why you would use a ridiculously wide aoe of poison that lingers for more than 15 seconds.
I’m starting to think Miyazaki did that on purpose.

As a RL1+0, I find strategies that are the least difficult to pursue in fights that are just simply meant to be chaos. Most Duo fights here are manageable, but this Gargoyle Duo was absolutely oppressive with how fast they engage and disengage.
Crucible Knight Duo? Parry God
.
Godskin Duo? Carian Retaliation their black flame spam.
Gargoyle Duo? Glintblade Phalanx Ash of War, and simply roll into them while avoiding their frothy football fields.
You’re welcome.

glad they gave them pestilent mist, really elevated my experience

The ringed finger absolutely demolishes these guys.
Definitely the easiest weapon I've used against them, it will poise break them at least once each.
The Nox flowing hammer would too, but it's too short to hit their knee caps reliably.
- Anonymous
Soloing these guys is a chore and test of patience. I know, I know, I’m putting in a self-imposed challenge, but part of the fun of Fromsoft bosses is learning and mastering their moveset, and I’ve never felt that from summons.
I don’t give people a hard time for the way they play; everyone should play in the way that’s the most fun for them, but my enjoyment comes from mastering and figuring out a moveset.

Fighting the gargoyle duo on a FTH/ARC build, have been for the past few hours. Are they supposed to be a hard counter for FTH/ARC? Borderline CBT
All these bosses with chicken legs and impossible hitboxes suck pretty hard actually.

**** the duo fight. It takes effort to make me hate a boss fight more than I hate DS2's Gank Squad. And out of all games it was an Elden Ring fight that managed to do it, it's impressive.

I have a very hard time trying to break stance of those d ckholes, cause they fly away so f ing often they regain all their poise health. Not that it's helpful, cause they gonna glitch on some uneven ground anyway or their head will be too high for a riposte

reminder the duo fight is literally 100% optional and locks you out of absolutely nothing aside from 30k runes and two mid weapons

Beyond even the boss itself, it's a little infuriating how downright *respectful* the game itself seems towards those things. From the name itself (Valiant, as in brave and determined), to even the corpse wax holding their weapons and bodies together being described as "patchwork of champions", implying those guys are somehow champions. Those chicken-legged bastards who can spam poison from kilometers away harder than Ekzykes, with damage like Wolnir's fog (along with near-instant poison), have leg hitboxes worse than trying to hit the Last Giant while unlocked with a rapier, have flying attacks worse than the flying Kalameet and gank harder than Lud and Zallen. And according to the game, those things are "valiant champions". Yep, checks out.
Godrick is more valiant than all of them combined, and Rykard is far more of a champion than they could ever comprehend.
Would rather fight Godskin Quartet in the Lake of Rot.

For anyone who is still struggling with this boss, I have the solution:
Pest Threads incantation - 11 Faith Req
I'm currently fighting these chucklenuts on a 2x randomizer as Godfrey's replacement, alongside Godskin duo (kill me). just about everything else fails the Damage/FP cost check. Given the ease of access from doing Gowry's small quest to the saintly low Faith requirement, it can fit into any build easily. Find any faith seal, smith it to as far as you're willing and use it on their nutsacks. Because of their multiple hitboxes, each thread can hit them several times per cast, with about 8 threads in a cast. In my case with a +10 somber seal and some incantation talismans, I'm dealing 1/3rd of their HP in the right position.
For reference, Rot breath does 1/8th (all ticks hit), Blade of Death 1/12th, Stone of Gurranq 1/12th(10th on headshot).

So something interesting I found. I was just fighting the Valiant Gargoyles in Siofra Aqueduct, and for some reason they appeared to have black wax on their weapons rather than orange and one of then even did a Destine Death Tornado attack like Black Blade Kindred can. Does anyone know more about this?

I was surprised that this dual boss is actually easier than the single Black Blade variant. Now that was bullshit, almost as bad as Crucible Knights.

Theres an attack where they kinda just go crazy and attack a bunch. Notably not on the attack list. you can kind of avoid it by rolling forwards? i usually just end up getting hit though.

I've come to realize the only people complaining about valiant gargoyle duo are handicapping themselves for personal reasons. I just beat these guys in like 2mins level 1 with an un-upgraded mace, +9 Engvall, and D's brother... like... if you wanna solo them with a katana as some kinda life goal, go for it, I wanna get through the game any way I can lol

Level 70 Astrologer. This has been my hardest fight so far. The first guy dodges magic attacks, eats through summons in no time (I haven't sought guides to hyper level them, actually only made Tiche + 5 for this fight, first time I had leveled up a summon as I didn't know you could, also didn't catch the D summon at all). This fight took me 30+ tries. I went in (like an idiot) with 45k ruins too... so wanted to keep them.
Tips for an astrologer;
Use Summon Ashes immediately. Tiche is probably my strongest, my Mimic is useless on these guys as a soft sorcerer. Get you FP back up and move to the small rock/s to the left of the entrance, hiding behind. Usually the first strike will hit the rock, but sometimes he just does wtf he wants and kills you immediately...
When Summon gets aggro, hit hard. He's fairly good at dodging singular spells. Rock Throw (can't recall name), worked best for me, just spam that and do your best to dodge when he turns his attention to you. He's not too bad to dodge generally, but the erratic behaviour just means taking the hit and starting again in my experience. But using the small rock helped me. Rolling into his standard attacks also seems best way of dodging those, but be sure to get away quickly when he pauses as the poison breath is usually game over.
Now, his friend will join sometime after, usually around 35% HP of the first dude if you have been landing good blows. This can coincide with first guys stance breaking, critical hit time, make sure you are at full FP and let loose, hopefully finishing him off before his twinblade friend makes it to you. If both still stand the next part is largely the same.
Now, what your Summon will be doing at this point is unpredictable. I had fights where they were sitting at 90% and fights where they were dead in the first 30 seconds. Either way, you can't rely on them at this point.
My tip is to make your up the map to the left as you enter, you can see a smallish rock that is decent for kiting. If you have two still chasing you, try to finish off the one with lesser health (first guy). Run around the rock, using quick spells, such as glint pebble etc. It takes a bit of time, but you don't want to be using rock sling at this point. The method I used is the same if there's 2 or 1, but obviously just more complicated if there's 2.
Sadly due to their unpredictability and power, it can all turn sideways in a second.
Winning this fight felt like a proper achievement, I know some people see mage and summons as easy mode, but as someone who has always been pretty mediocre at games, I was overjoyed to win this fight after so many tries and without researching how to find the +6,7,8,9,10 etc... flowers to upgrade my summons. I wanted my ruins back anyway.
Note to add, I am enjoying this game so much. Best experience I've had gaming in years and I think that's because of the challenge it poses to a mere casual gamer such as myself.

You absolutely CANNOT summon spirits for the one in Royal Capital

Maneaters: bad
Bell gargoyles: good
Belfry gargoyles: bad
Demon in pain and below: good
Valiant gargoyles:bad
So hopefully the next gargoyle (as in the fight is like the gargoyles) like boss would be good

These guys are fine, you're just trying to beat bleed immune, 35 slash resistance enemies with a katana

Question: when you summon D does the first gargoyle do 2nd fase attacks? Or just a dif moveset?

By far my least favorite boss and enemy in the entire game. Awful collision boxes, so hitting it with anything shorter than a pike is a chore, constantly jumps around and never stays still, and attacks so often that you barely have to get attacks off.
I try to avoid fighting these ****heads any chance I get, cause they aren’t worth the time or resources.

Gah hated these guys. I agree with the comments about how unfair this boss is. I'm no great player and was dying over and over - as were the spirit ashes I summoned. I went ahead with D the hunter quest so I could get his armor then I gave his armor to his brother outside the gargoyles boss room then I was able to summon him and Engval and we beat them the second time around. Magic grease helped too.

Honestly, ED has the worst duo boss fights in the series. Like in DS1 both the gargoyles and O&S are made for the fight and nothing else ( yes the gargoyle do appear as normal enemies but it was clear they made the boss version first and just took one of them and made a normal enemy ) DS3 and the demon princes and Frieda which again are boss fights made to be duos. Heck even DS2 while the gargoyles are pretty shitty, most other duo fights (darkluker, throne watcher and defender, and the duo dragon riders) at least felt like they tried to make a somewhat decent fight. This just feels like they took two pre- existing enemies and threw them in a room together. And because they aren’t made for each other they just attack if the other one doesn’t exist, not like they are attacking together, as a team.

For those who are struggling with the DUO fight in sofia's. You'll continue struggling. But there is a catch if you have patience. When the second gargoyle gets into the fight keep in mind that only one will try to melee attack you while the other will be vomiting poison. They'll periodically switch between them who'll attack (Usually they jump forward and close to you) so the best thing to do is to: Run to keep them far from each other to not get caught on the poison; keep dodging the twinblade and wait for the sword/halberd turn. Kill him first and only then get the other.

Meanwhile in From soft HQ
-"Lets make a boss fight really tough"
-"Shall we make a boss with a wide variety of movesets? Or that have erratic attack pattern to confuse players?"
-"Of course not, lets just make a boss with a huge Health pool that does a lot of damage... No better... lets make two of them at the same time"
GENIUS!

Ah yes let's make the hardest dps race boss resistant or even outright immune to all big dps stuff, well at least magic is still viable, as always. But good luck trying to chase them across only for them to cast poison breath and instakill your melee build butt. Better overlevel or go kill sever mohg and take a shortcut, less annoying imho

I can forgive the fact that the arena is gigantic and these guys can just fly around and do whatever they want while I'm forced to burn stamina just to get to one of them, I can forgive them being stupidly oversized so you can't even tell what they're doing sometimes, but the one thing this boss fight does that's an absolute scumbag design move is giving them the poison breath. If you wanted to give them a move to force the player back, they could have given them a knockback shockwave move instead, but noooooo.

Like most of the Elden Ring bosses worth their salt, these are designed to punish you for panic rolling and lacking aggression; just hug their balls as much as possible and always roll towards them. Their windups are all telegraphed, the dangerous part is still being in front of them for the faster follow-ups (or, god forbid, the twinblade blender). Yeah the poison barf is annoying but it's also the only tool they really have to move you away from that safe spot, makes sense why From went for that after you do the fight a few times - it's not much different from all those dragons breathing straight down and forcing you to move.

"Mom can we fight demon princes (DS 3)?"
"No, we have demon princes at home"
Demon Princes at home:
Another one of those poorly designed... upa, I meant git gud bosses...

Came here 25 levels higher + Godslayer Greatsword +9 + Mimic +6 and still died more than to Morgott, Renala and Godrick despite fighting them solo and "properly" leveled(!)
My guess is that this wasn't tested and they were too ashamed to nerf them or they did it on purpose. They literally perfected gank fights with the demon princes and 5 years later the same company under the same director made this utter dross of a boss (the enitre underground area is still phenomenal). This almost is a parody of a From bossfight.

i hate how they both have 2 different weapons. what's the point in naming one "Valiant Gargoyle (Twinblade)" if he can just pull out an axe with a completely different moveset? i shouldn't have to learn 2 different movesets PER gargoyle

I went crazy with these two until when I summoned a maxed up dung eater with whom the fight became a piece o' cheese
